This is my first weblog. I will use it to announce the publication of a new edition of the Victory Drill Book: A Phonetic Approach to Reading with an Emphasis on Speed. I have used the 1970 edition of Victory Drill Book for several years as one of my most powerful tools for beginning and remedial reading instruction. It appears from a quick look at the book that the author, Andrea Carstensen, has done a very responsible job of updating this classic phonics method.
